Agadir to Merzouga Desert Escape

A four-day private journey that trades the surf of Agadir for the silence of the Sahara. You head east to Taroudant — the walled "Little Marrakech" — then cross the Anti-Atlas to Ouarzazate, Morocco’s film capital and the door of the desert. From there the road follows the palm-lined Draa Valley through Agdz, past ochre kasbahs, all the way to Merzouga and the towering dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you ride camels to a Berber camp and sleep under the stars. After sunrise over the sand you return by a different scenic route through Alnif and Agdz, stopping at the Berber carpet town of Taznakht before descending back to the coast. Private 4x4, an English-speaking driver-guide, and desert-camp accommodation are all included.
