High-Atlas cascade and palm-grove villages — the cooler twin of Paradise Valley
Imouzzer (sometimes called Imouzzer Ida Outanane) is a small Berber town at 1,200 m altitude in the High Atlas, 60 km north-east of Agadir. It's known regionally for two things: a year-round set of waterfalls (Cascades d'Imouzzer) cascading down red-rock cliffs into pools below, and the surrounding palm-grove villages where most homes still produce their own argan oil.
The drive in is half the experience — the road from Tamraght winds up through almond and argan groves, with goat-in-the-trees photo stops and panoramic Atlas views. The waterfalls themselves are at their most dramatic Nov–April; in summer they reduce to a trickle but the pools below stay refreshing.

Vivez des sensations fortes en quad à travers les superbes montagnes de l'Atlas, près d'Agadir ou de Taghazout.
60 km / 90 min from Agadir via the scenic mountain road through Aourir, Imouzzer Ida Outanane, then the final 5 km to the cascades trailhead. Self-driving is doable if you're comfortable with mountain switchbacks. Tours include hotel pickup.
November to April for full waterfall flow. May–October the cascade reduces but the pools and the drive remain beautiful. The "Honey Festival" in May/June is a unique time to see traditional beekeeping practices.
Sturdy walking shoes (the path to the falls is steep and rocky), swimsuit + towel for the pools, sun protection, cash for the local cooperative shops (they accept cards reluctantly), and patience for the goat-in-trees photo stops.
