Hidden palm-fringed pools 90 minutes from Agadir
Paradise Valley is a chain of crystalline natural pools tucked into a palm-grove gorge in the High Atlas foothills, about 60 km north of Agadir. Locals have come here for generations to swim in the cool, spring-fed water during the hot months.
The valley is reached via a scenic mountain road through Argan-tree forests and Berber villages. A short hike from the trailhead leads to the main bathing pools — the deepest is around 4 metres and clear enough to count the pebbles on the bottom.
Hand-picked experiences with hotel pickup and free 24h cancellation.

60 km / 90 minutes by car from Agadir, 50 km / 70 minutes from Taghazout. Public buses don't run to the trailhead — a guided tour is the simplest option, and includes hotel pickup. Self-driving is possible but the last 10 km is winding mountain road.
Spring and autumn (Mar–May, Sep–Nov) when temperatures are mild and water level is highest. Avoid mid-summer afternoons (35°C+); aim for early morning if going Jul–Aug. Winter pools are very cold but the valley is still beautiful for hiking.
Swimsuit, towel, water-shoes (rocks are slippery), sunscreen, hat, water bottle. A change of clothes for the drive back. Modest beachwear is appreciated as locals also use the pools.
