Sahara & Kasbahs: 3-Day South Morocco Discovery

This is the grand tour of southern Morocco, paced over three unforgettable days. You leave the Atlantic behind in Agadir and climb through the Anti-Atlas to the walled city of Taroudant, then cross the mountains to Ouarzazate — the "door of the desert" and Morocco’s film capital. You walk the earthen towers of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar, before following the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs through the rose-coloured Dades Valley. The journey ends where the tarmac does: the great golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at Merzouga, reached by camel at sunset and slept beside in a Berber camp. On the final day you watch the sun rise over the Sahara, thread the towering walls of the Todra Gorge, and return to Agadir.
