How to get there
Agadir Al Massira (AGA) is the main airport, with direct flights from London, Paris, Madrid, Düsseldorf, Manchester and other European hubs. The airport is 25 km from the city centre — fixed-price taxi €20, transfer to Taghazout €40.
Best time to visit
Year-round! Agadir has the most consistent climate in Morocco: 18–22°C in winter, 22–28°C in summer. The sea is swimmable May–November. December–February is busiest with European sun-seekers.
Where to stay
Beachfront resorts (Sofitel, Riu, Hyatt) along the Front de Mer; mid-range hotels around the marina; family-run guesthouses in Founty district. Apart-hotels are a great value for stays of 5+ nights.

Is Agadir worth visiting?
Yes — but for different reasons than the imperial cities. Agadir isn't medina-and-history; it's beach-and-base-camp. If you want sun + day trips into the real Morocco, it's perfect. If you want medieval architecture, head to Marrakech or Fez.
Is Agadir safe?
Very. The Front de Mer (beachfront promenade) is patrolled day and night, the city is not part of the petty-crime hotspots of larger cities, and Souss-Massa region has a strong tourism-police presence. Standard travel sense applies.
